Your images stay on your Mac.

LittleFit reads files you select or drop into the app, including supported images inside selected folders and their subfolders. Processing uses macOS image frameworks. It does not upload image content, filenames, image metadata or previews to a server. There is no advertising SDK and no account. The only things the app sends on its own are the anonymous usage events below, which you can switch off, and the license check if you use Pro.

Temporary copies and exports

Working copies, including separate copies opened in Preview, are kept in a temporary folder on your Mac and removed when you clear the batch or quit normally. macOS may retain temporary files after a crash until it cleans them up. Fitted images you save remain in the folder you choose. The source files are not modified.

Saved recipes and last settings

Recipe names, your last valid image-processing settings, the active saved recipe name, your usage-data choice and a note that the app has been opened before are saved in this Mac’s local application preferences. They are not uploaded or synced. Per-image crop positions are held only for the current batch. Delete a recipe in Save or manage recipes to remove it from the app.

Pro licensing

If you enter a license, LittleFit sends that key and its public product/organization identifiers to Polar over HTTPS to verify the purchase. Polar also receives ordinary connection information such as your IP address. The key and the time of the last successful check are stored in macOS Keychain. LittleFit checks the license at launch when a key exists. Processing remains local. Cached Pro access lasts 30 days after a successful check. Remove the license from the Pro panel to delete the local credential.

Anonymous usage data from the app

So we can see which steps get used and where people get stuck, LittleFit sends short usage events to PostHog, on its EU cloud. They are anonymous by design:

• No lasting identifier. Each time LittleFit opens it makes a random ID, holds it in memory and forgets it when you quit, so one session can’t be linked to the next. PostHog is told not to build a profile. IP addresses are not stored.
• What an event says. The app and macOS versions, and counts and choices: that the app opened, how many images were added and in which formats (JPEG, PNG and so on), whether they came from a folder, the KB limit, pixel size and format you chose, whether an example or your own recipe was used, how many images fitted or failed and why (for example “limit unreachable”), how long a batch took, and whether a Pro license check succeeded.
• What it never says. Your images or previews, filenames, folder names or paths, recipe names, anything you type, or your license key.
• Offline, nothing is sent. Events wait briefly in memory and are dropped if they can’t be delivered. Nothing is saved to disk for later.
• How to stop it. Turn off Share anonymous usage data in the Privacy card at the bottom of LittleFit’s settings sidebar. It is on by default; turning it off stops sending at once and drops anything still waiting.

Website and purchases

This website uses PostHog, on its EU cloud, in cookieless mode: it sets no cookie and stores nothing in your browser, so there is no banner to click. IP addresses are anonymized and not stored. It records anonymous page views and what is used on a page: which links and buttons are clicked (with their text) and where on the page, which sections were seen, how far you scrolled, which controls of the demos you used, the text of a short selection you copy, time on the page, page load speed and script errors. There is no session recording. It does not set advertising cookies, load third-party fonts, or collect email sign-ups. See PostHog’s privacy policy. Netlify hosts the site and may process request logs, including IP addresses, to operate and secure the service. When you follow the purchase link, Polar processes payment, order and customer information under Polar’s privacy policy. LittleFit does not receive your card number. The maker can access purchase and support information needed to assist you.

Support and your requests

If you email support, we receive the content you choose to send. Please avoid including sensitive images or license keys unless needed to resolve your issue. To ask about access to or deletion of purchase/support data, contact the maker. Some transaction records may need to be retained for accounting or legal obligations.
